Pumpkin Ru Yao Pot 200ml

This pot is 200ml, which is perfect for Gong Fu brewing in a group of 3-6 people but it is also perfect for those moments when you just want to brew a larger cup of tea with fewer infusions.

I use teapots like this when I am sipping at my desktop or out in the garden - infusing the leaves multiple times but getting more tea with each infusion so that you don't have to keep reaching for the kettle.

Ru Yao - The porcelain is Ru Yao, which originated from Henan province in the Song Dynasty (about 1000 years ago). The technique uses iron to create a glaze with a glimmering lustre which will continue to shine. The firing process creates fine cracks in the glaze,e which will season with tea over repeated use and reveal a golden brown craquelure.
