Tea Pitchers, also called Gong Dao Bei (gongdao bro) or Fair Cups, ensure that when serving tea that everyone enjoying the tea gets a "fair" taste of tea. When the tea is poured from the gaiwan or the teapot, tea liquor from the top of the vessel will have a different flavor from tea at the bottom. The Gong Dao Bei allows the tea to be fairly mixed before being poured into the tea cups so that everyone gets the same flavor.
