The Gaiwan is arguably the best tea brewing invention ever made. It’s a lidded bowl where you can toss in your leaves, with a wide opening perfect for taking in the full aroma of your tea.

But for some, pouring from a Gaiwan can be tricky — you have to tilt the lid and hold it just right so it stays put while you pour.

Say hello to the easy-pour Gaiwan (similar to a houhin). It lets you nestle the lid securely in place while filtering your tea through 15 small holes around the rim.

Crafted with thick porcelain for excellent heat retention, each piece features a speckled, textured glaze that gives it a unique personality. The style continues inside with a craquelure glaze and a beautiful gradient of colors. Please note: each Gaiwan is one of a kind — the glaze will be similar to the photos, but not identical.
